Since my West Nashville Brewery post is taking FOREVER I figured I’d get a quick post out in the meantime.
We had a killer podcast last night with some of our beer drinking buddies and I’m still riding high from it. We had 4 friends on, all of which we’ve drunk beer and whiskey with, in some group form or other. Calvin Tate, Michael Stokes, Tom Schumacher and Chris Finen all joined us for about an hour and we had a blast. It truly turned out to be a round table discussion as everyone asked questions and were interactive and had a lot of fun with it.
We discussed some of our favorite beers, beer cities, beer styles, our lowest rated beers in Untappd, what we drank before craft beer, our guilty pleasure beers, where Calvin hides his good beer and so much more.
We talked about having a “friends” podcast before we ever actually started one and we finally made it happen. It was more fun than I even imagined. The conversations were entertaining (at least to us) and in some cases even informative. Steve and I had some questions written down and had kind of an outline in place for the episode but not a real plan like we normally do. We hoped the conversations we started would lead to other conversations and questions and they certainly did. We envisioned it as just us sitting around drinking beer and it felt that way to me.
I can see us doing this again down the road in some version and I would expect to hear these guys from time to time on the podcast – I have some ideas “brewing”. You can also expect to see us out drinking in various places around Nashville – if you do – come say hi.
I just went back and listened to the podcast now that’s posted, and I was thoroughly entertained and laughed out loud multiple times. All of these guys were great, and I hope they had fun and had the same positive experience we did.
Cheers!
Scott
