Steve has definitely been writing more posts than me, so I wanted to try to keep up. I should have this West Nashville Breweries List (Part of the “Is Nashville, TN A Craft Beer Destination City?” Series) finished soon. I wanted to be as descriptive and complete as I could for each brewery, so that anyone wanting information about any of them, would have their questions answered. With all that being said, it has taken me far too long. Once I get this one done, the others should move faster, as this is the longest list of breweries (in one part of the city) that I’ll have to write.
In addition to that, Steve and I have been pretty busy with the Brewery Underground Podcast. We haven’t put an episode out in a couple of weeks, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy with it. We had to postpone our scheduled in-person recording with Scott Mertie from Nashville Brewing Company from 3/9/24 to 3/17/24, and we have a recording with Chris Shields from Rhinegeist Brewery scheduled for 3/13/24. Both of these recordings will be longer than any of our others, as both guys have been nice enough to give us extra time. These both should be 2-part episodes and a lot of fun, as the content for both will be quite different from each other. We’ve both been working diligently in preparing questions and doing research for both episodes and we are definitely prepared.
Wait! There’s more! After our in-person interview with Scott Mertie on 3/17/24 (at Blackstone Brewing Company), our next recording will be with Nate from Half Batch Brewing Company on 4/3/24, Kendall Joseph is returning to the podcast from Rhizome Productions on 4/11/24, Braxton Brewing Company will be on with us on 4/18/24, potentially Weathered Souls Brewing Company on 5/1 or 5/2/24, and we have our buddy Tom Schumacher, from Schuie’s Tavern, returning to talk about beer styles on 5/8/24.
We haven’t scheduled anything further out than that yet, but we have Panther Creek Brews, and Tennfold Brewing pending and hope to have dates soon. We still have several of “feelers” out that we’ve spoken to in person and hopefully we’ll hear back from them. Once we get through this stretch of the next couple of weeks, we’ll start looking at more dates down the road.
Steve and I are planning a Brewery Adventure in Cincinnati from May 22nd – May 27th. We’re going to 2 Cincinnati Reds games for 2 different series and many, many breweries. Most of those breweries are yet to be determined, but I can promise you that the 2 Cincinnati breweries mentioned above will be on our list.
Well, that’s the current State of the Union from my point of view. Stay Tuned for more. Now you know what we’ve been doing!
Cheers!
Scott
