Posted by Hello friends! Wanted to give a big shout out to Scott Mertie of Nashville Brewing Company. He’s on our guest on Episode 16 that is now available on the Brewery Underground Podcast. We met him at Blackstone Brewing on the morning of St. Patrick’s Day. This was our first podcast done “on location”. We had so many questions. Scott had so many stories. This ended up as a two-part podcast.
In case you didn’t know, Nashville Brewing Company first opened for business in 1859! Scott is now the owner and brings his wealth of knowledge of how things operated way back when! Beer has been a life-long passion. If you drive around a part of Nashville, you will see some historical markers dedicated to the some of the rich history, beer has made on the city. These would not exist if not for his effort.
When the podcast was over, he gave us a tour of the operation. It was a fantastic day!
