Posted by On 5-16-24 We changed our format, on The Brewery Underground Podcast, for the first time (but it won’t be the last). We switched from our typical beer format to a whiskey format. We brought 2 of our friends on who are well versed in whiskey and bourbon – and the reasons I started drinking bourbon and have a ridiculous collection. Aaron Porter and Jonathan Hays joined us, and we had a blast.
Aaron and Jonathan both have a ridiculous amount of bourbon, (and other whiskeys) in their collections that mine pales in comparison to. Not only are their collections vast, but the quality of what they have is stellar. I have drunk with both of these guys at their houses, and they are very generous with their bottles and are always willing to share.
In this episode, we talked about what bottles we’d recommend for someone who wanted to start a bourbon collection, how we like to drink our whiskey, what bourbon got us all started, who inspired us to originally go down this rabbit hole, the state of bourbon, and even a little fun trivia at the end.
This was the first episode I edited and it’s the longest one yet. I didn’t want to cut much because it was so entertaining, and the audio was pretty good to start with. We hope you give it a listen and leave us a comment.
